This step gives us everything we need to start building your sale messaging, press outreach, and creative assets.

You don’t need to overthink it — clear and honest beats perfect.

Please complete all items below. If anything is missing, we’ll let you know what to update.

1. Your Story

This story becomes the backbone of your sale, postcards, and press. Be candid and personal. Share it in your own words. There’s no required length — a few thoughtful paragraphs is perfect. A few prompts to help you get started:

  • Why you decided to close

  • How you got into the business

  • What you’ll miss / won’t miss

  • Fun memories

  • What’s next

2. Headshot

This photo is used for press features and sale materials. If you don’t have a headshot yet, upload the best photo you have — we can work with it.

  • Natural, relaxed, and smiling

  • A phone photo is completely fine

  • Good lighting (near a window works well)

  • Neutral background if possible

3. Store Logo

Please upload your store’s logo. If you don’t have a clean logo file, upload whatever version you have — we’ll handle the rest.

  • PNG or JPG

  • Transparent background if possible

4. Storefront Photo

This helps visually anchor the sale and is used in marketing and press. If you have multiple angles, just upload the best one.

  • Clear photo of the storefront exterior

  • Taken during the day if possible

  • Make sure signage is visible

  • Phone photo is fine

  • Include the full storefront and any signage or facade above the entrance if possible

5. Walkthrough Video Link

This short video helps us understand the space, inventory layout, and overall flow.

  • 2–5 minutes is ideal

  • Film on your phone

  • Walk through the store naturally

  • Briefly narrate key sections or inventory areas

  • Record horizontally (sideways), not vertical

  • If you have a stockroom or back area, include it briefly

  • Avoid zooming in tightly on individual products

  • Provide them with a gsheet to upload into/ or give instructions for wetransfer

Once this page is complete you’ll receive a confirmation email after submission

  • Flag anything missing or unclear

  • Move into the next prep phase automatically
